From the summit, there are exceptionally scenic panoramic views of both the Polish and Slovak Tatra Mountains as well as the surrounding valleys.
The most convenient way to reach Kasprowy Wierch is by the enclosed PKL cable car from Kuźnice. The ride takes approximately 20 minutes and is one of the main attractions of the region. The route leads up to an altitude of nearly 2000 m a.s.l., offering unforgettable mountain landscapes.

Zakopane - Morskie Oko

Course of the route:
1. Pick-up from your hotel in Krakow and transfer to the parking area at Palenica Białczańska (starting point of the Morskie Oko hike).

Palenica Białczańska – starting point of the hike (parking area and entrance to the Tatra National Park).

Dolina Rybiego Potoku (Fish Stream Valley) – the main section of the route, leading along an asphalt road through Tatra forests and streams.

Wodogrzmoty Mickiewicza – the first major point on the trail, impressive waterfalls on the Roztoka stream; a good place for a short rest.

Wanta – a small landmark along the route; from here, the trail gradually leads deeper into the valley.

Polana Włosienica – the point where horse carriage traffic ends; there are toilets and a food stall here. About 1.5 km remains on foot to Morskie Oko.

Morskie Oko Lake and PTTK Mountain Shelter – the destination of the hike. Possibility to rest, have a meal at the shelter, and walk around the lake with views of Rysy and Mnich peaks. The length of stay at the lake and the scope of the walk (e.g. walking around the lake) are individually arranged with the guide on site.

Return to Palenica Białczańska – the descent follows the same route, usually faster and offering a different perspective than on the way up.
2. After returning from Morskie Oko, the decision regarding further arrangements (return to the hotel or transfer to Krupówki for those interested) is made in agreement with the guide. A walk along Krupówki is a perfect way to end the day, with the opportunity to enjoy delicious local cuisine. We warmly invite you.

Weather in the mountains: Pack a rain jacket and a sweater even in summer, as weather in the Tatras can change within minutes.

Important information:
We are delighted when children have the opportunity to experience the beautiful Tatra nature from an early age. Parents may take a stroller up to the summit free of charge. We kindly ask to fold the stroller before boarding the cable car, if possible.
At the top, strollers can be used freely in the area of the viewing terrace and restaurant. However, hiking trails are mountainous, rocky, and uneven, so walking with a stroller may be difficult.
We recommend wearing comfortable, sturdy footwear – walking on rocky terrain in flip-flops, sandals, or high heels can be uncomfortable and unsafe. It is also advisable to bring warm clothing, as temperatures at the summit are usually several to a dozen degrees lower than in Zakopane. Short sleeves may not provide sufficient comfort.
