The climate of the Beskids is mountain-like, with increasingly continental features toward the east.
In the highest parts of the mountains, characteristic climatic zones have formed – from moderately warm at the foothills to moderately cold at the peaks. This is best seen on Babia Góra, the highest summit of the Polish Beskids. The weather can be variable – strong winds and heavy rainfall occur, but there are also beautiful sunny days, especially in summer and autumn. In autumn, the mountain slopes are covered with spectacular colours, and snow appears from November, lasting until April, especially on peaks like Babia Góra and Pilsko.
The Beskids are a perfect destination for skiers in winter, and in spring and summer for hiking lovers, cycling enthusiasts, and anyone who enjoys being close to nature. It is also worth visiting wooden Orthodox churches, local museums, and atmospheric villages that showcase the unique character of the region.
