Important information about the rafting trip:
✔ Dunajec River rafting – information for families
The Dunajec River rafting trip is also suitable for families with children. The recommended minimum age is around 3 years. The wooden rafts are stable and safe, and children are provided with life jackets during the trip.
✔ Practical information – Dunajec rafting
Appropriate clothing depends on the weather, but even in summer it can be cooler on the water than on land. Dressing in layers is recommended, along with bringing an extra layer of clothing.
In spring and autumn, warmer clothing such as a fleece, a windproof jacket, as well as a hat and gloves are especially useful. In summer, it is advisable to bring a sun hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Regardless of the season, a small umbrella or a rain poncho can be useful.
It is also worth bringing drinking water (in autumn or winter, a hot drink in a thermos), snacks, and something to sit on or cover yourself with (e.g. a small blanket), as the seats on the raft are wooden.
✔ Age information
There is no strict age limit for the traditional raft trip; however, children must be under adult supervision. Other types of rafting (e.g. inflatable rafting or kayaking) may have additional age restrictions depending on the operator.
✔ Weather and rafting conditions
The Dunajec River rafting season runs from April to October, except in exceptional situations (such as very high or low water levels or unsafe weather conditions). In case of unfavorable weather, the attraction may be replaced with another program element.
